When you are in Taichung, it's a must visit night market. It's the biggest night market in Taichung with lots of food and shopping to be done. We spent about 3-4 hours eating and shopping.  more »

Visit Taichung in a one-day trip from Taipei to Fong Jia international tourist night market to go back from strong No. 21 was booked before the train. Sightseeing near the station during the day, 2 at Rainbow village go by taxi from aboard the 358 strains encounter Konan University bus from bus stop"Ridge East, headed out to Fong Jia night market. Bus is 1 hour or two a night to the city (bus stop photo shoot, so there are picture schedules) took about 50 minutes. Trendy city, night, night city is Taiwan biggest and knew we were hopeful, but no big deal. Lined with clothing onto the street to shop for food stalls, sundry shops and it was good. Even bother to go to the Taichung Taipei night city is enough. About an hour and a half wandering around, went back to Taichung train station by taxi. Use the taxi because it embarrasses it because there is bus traffic though, and miss the train, still 30 minutes or so. I think you should have arrived here early Friday was a holiday more like because it gets crowded. Taipei's "leading River Street night market' is like personally.

I like it, the place is not too big but have so many variation of food. The clothes is also quite good. I like the oyster egg and the carbon chicken. The road is also big so it is not hard to walk around although with so many people. The trash bin is also not too hard to find. Tips: go to the stall with long queue, it's usually delicious!

Wow, this place really gets hopping after 6pm, even on a weeknight! Weekends are way too busy to have a good time here I think. Great for smaller groups of people to hang out and eat. Lots of stalls and storefronts offering food and goods. Next to the University entrance so lots of people in their early 20's here. The stinky tofu here is great!

One of the best night markets in Taichung ! So many outdoor games and activities and so many shops that sell good quality cheap stuffs ! Street Food is great here ! If you are a tourist in Taichung, make sure to pay a visit to this place ! Remember so not go there by car at night time , it's hard to park your car there and so many people on the street ! Extremely dangerous !

Where to stay in Taichung

Look at the Central District for the main accommodations in Taichung. This area contains the majority of the city's high-rise chain hotels, both luxurious and standard, along with a few simple guesthouses, family-run boutique establishments, and hostels. Xitun District features a number of eco-friendly hotels, with the emphasis very much of green grounds, spa relaxation, and restaurants with diverse, seasonal menus. Guesthouses and apartment rentals can be found in the more residential districts encircling the city center.
