(55+ reviews on the web)
Beach
The biggest lagoon on the southwest coast, Dapeng Bay National Scenic Area was once famous for oyster and fish farming. You can take a boat tour to find out about the area's oyster farming history on Oyster Shell Island, or try aquatic activities such as sailing, canoeing, or windsurfing. A bike path around the lagoon offers scenic views of wetlands and mangroves, which boast 95 bird species (some migratory), as well as scenes of a fishing village. Grab a map from the visitor center to find the best spots for catching the sunset. The bay's landmark, sail-shaped bridge is also fun to watch as it moves to let traffic through the outlet. Visit the fish market for some gifts and to get a taste of the restaurants' seafood offerings.
