這個九份第一家,有百年歷史的古厝茶坊

One-hundred-year-old Teahouse

In the 1990s,

Jioufen was immersed in a bleak atmosphere of depleted gold veins and empty chambers.

The opening of “Jioufen Teahouse” woke up the entire mountain town of Jioufen.

It was the first teahouse with one hundred years of history and

also led to the prosperity of Jioufen for the second time.

  • This place is stunning. I cant imagine a better place to have a Taiwanese tea experience. The staff are so kind. Actually I didnt end up getting tea here because they got quite busy, but I spent almost an hour wandering around the tea house and grounds taking photos. The staff were very relaxed and were not pushing you to buy something. They just encouraged me to look around and enjoy myself. I hope to come back here when it’s not busy and have a proper tea experience. But I love this place!
  • We love this tea house lots! You can choose outdoor or indoor seating area. Good variety of tea to spend your tea time when you visit Jiu Fen!
  • The lady was polite and taught us how to make tea. We got a lovely seat that can kind of see the moutains. Definately the highlight of the trip. Very cozy, quiet and many antiques, even a little pond inside.
  • A Unique and enchanting tea house in Jiufen. It might cost you a lot for just enter and have a cup of tea but it will worth your time and money and experience ! Order the green biscuits ( i guess its oolong tea biscuits) so delicious. Stay and relax until sunset. Pure bliss.
  • Jiufen's charm is really captivating. Even more so when you know its history. Walking the whole street might be tiring for some because you would go uphill and downhill on some parts. Kudos to their floors though. They had thought of it well. It was raining when we went there and we were afraid to slip or fall while walking but we didn't have a hard time because they made their floors easy enough to go uphill and downhill. Wasn't able to take pictures because there were so many people walking! The stores there were pretty normal and repetitive. I actually thought you would have a hassle-free view of the famous Jiufen teahouse (forgot the real name of the teahouse) but it was not spacious. The best view was to go up another teahouse's balcony (which I did) but that teahouse's manager/owner was not very open for people to stay there and take pictures of the famous teahouse. Overall it was okay. Going there and embracing the historical charm of Jiufen is captivating. However, there's not much to do there.
