  • Golden Noodle Mountain Walking Road. GOOGLE maps can be used to search for "inner Lake Qing Dynasty to adopt the stone scene." or "a section of 136 Lane in the Inner Lake area of Taipei City". Walkway 136 Lane on the bottom of the right! The stone stage of the footpath, on the use of the land stone, locally sourced, the footpath along the way there is a rock road, the size of the wrong rock ounce, like a long stone dragon, the most distinctive

  • I loved this trail for a few reasons. The terrain changes, it is easily accessible, the views from the summit, the smooth jazz and hula hoops. Yup- the last two you read correctly. I came across this ...  more »
  • There are many routes on the Golden Noodle Hill Trail that can provide a choice, I chose from the two section of the Mountain Road, the road to enter the path, first will see a large pile of villas, it is very envy, according to the people in the country about 80 years, a lives an house as long as 800 or so can be bought, now there is no Yi yuan above is no way to buy. Walking in the Villa group found that there is still a lives an is under construction, wow-to cover a large villa yes! Then we'll walk to the Bamboo Moon Temple, can rest, on the toilet, wash your hands, take out their own warm bottle to drink water, walk in the agricultural space is very pure lust feeling, and then to the Sword Pavilion, out of the three choices, one of which can even go to the palace, in fact, too awesome, too far. What we chose was that we could reach another mountain road exit in 15 minutes, the one that was closer to Deming's economics, so we only walked 30 minutes, haha! The next time you have the strength to go a little further.

  • This is one of the many hiking trails that go around Taipei. It is close to bus but not so close to MRT. The trail is a little worn so it can be treacherous at times, especially during or after a rain. It has a terrific view of Taipei and with the jungle canary it gets quite a bit of shade. It also gets a nice breeze in several spots along it which can really cool down on a hot day in Taiwan. Some of the other trails don’t offer that luxury.
  • The view is great and there is a breathtaking picture opportunity. The hike is very steep and more of a climb than a walk. You need to be in a good physical shape to climb here. The hike is not suitable for small children. Reaching the top takes 1 to 2 hours.
  • Expect a lot of stairs on your way up for the first half and then a ridge that you need climb with the help of ropes. The hike is very different from the other trails I’ve seen in Taipei and the view is worth the effort. I thought I could catch the sunset but I had to make way for hikers who were on their way down. If you’re planning to stay in the summit after sunset, a flashlight would be necessary because there are no lamps to guide you at night. I also encountered a snake here so it pays to be careful.
  • My favorite hike in Taipei city. I always stop at the Xihu market on the way and grab some fruit and spring rolls for a picnic lunch at the top. It usually takes me a little over an hour to finish the loop, not including breaks. You can also take a trail from the top over the other side, which meanders through some forests and rural suburbs before spitting you out across the street from the National Palace Museum.
  • Climbed to the summit of the trail. Says only 750 metres from the beginning but boy it feels longer. Non-stop ascent with some challenging terrain but it’s all worth it for the challenge and the stunning views of the Taipei skyline at the top.
