  • Located on a hill above the Itashao Pier, in the temple are worships the monk Xuan Zang, a Chinese monk who traveled to the India in the 7th century, and returned after 17 years to spread the Buddhist religion by China. The temple - very revered and quiet despite the many faithful - contains also many relics that are among the most sacred of the Buddhists of the country; is the venerated in two small pagodas of gold located in the salon central of entry (of any is says that comes of them same ashes of Buddha). How to get: Once at the Itashao Pier, either by boat - from the Shiushe Pier about 15 minutes-, or in any of the buses that surround the Lake, we must Ascend stairs, which offers spectacular views of the Sun Moon Lake. If you arrive by ferry, just leave the shore we have an area - picnic area to take a snack that is protected from the Sun there.

  • I went to 10/2016. I stopped by while on a bicycle around Sun Moon Lake. I'm better access by ferry from the water company to arrive from the Taichung bus arrived at the site for many tourists. On the other hand the busy syuanguang Temple has small temples. To take pictures, waiting in long queues were made.
