  • Great area to visit to look at the beautiful temple and scenery with good facilities and gift shop. Small park with shade on the grounds.  more »
  • The temple is very small, but the view over the lake is wonderful. Lots of people go there because there is a stop for boats. The place is clean and there are some small places for buying fruit or tea...  more »

  • Wenwu Temple on Sunmoon Lake is a destination in and of itself--so layered and intricate. As soon as you have passed through one temple, you enter another. Its quite surprising. When our plan to bike around Sun Moon Lake went out the window because of heavy fog, we ended up at Wenwu Temple instead. What a happy accident that turned out to be. We never could see the lake through the thick fog, but we had a wonderful time exploring this beautiful area. The Wall in the very back of the Temple is unlike any I have ever seen. I was in awe.
  • The view from here for Sun Moon Lake is beautiful! Stunning architecture. Lots of other temple things to do and see here.
  • Intricate carvings on walls. Not too bad. Supposedly you get good blessings here.
  • There are 365 stairs at wenwu temple based on day of birth. Find your own and meaning.
  • Go for the view, it's worthy it. One of the best places to take panoramic pictures of the sun moon lake.
