  • I must say this night market is huge but the lanes are too small. Some lanes were so crowded that we need to squeeze our way through. We walked lane by lane but as we went further, the night market be...  more »
  • Do not eat dinner, I went to eat a variety of foods at an affordable price, so it was great. I'm a little uncomfortable with the narrow side length instead of the large number of people.

  • A lot of cheap and delicious snacks, you can choose a recent favorite, eat a meal can eat very saturated, and the type of drink is also full, not too repetitive, can eat very happy.

  • This night market did not let me down. It has many new vendors selling new kind of food and most of them taste pretty well. Although the price might not be cheap, but it is the night market, what do you expect.
  • Okay. I hail from the Taichung area where night markets are stalls along a street, this one is more of stalls with very narrow walking space laid out on a block. I also came here in the sweltering summer so it was not pleasant being blasted with heat from grills and handheld Bunsen burners whilst trying to navigate the hoards. If you're into places which are like the aforementioned description, this is the place for you. The food's like your typical night market fare- the variety makes it worth it. The mochi and soup dumpling weren't too bad. We got some squid and mini hot cakes that were a bit meh though.
  • One of the best in town I think. The selection is not as boring as those in Kenting. The price is cheaper too. Less touristy in the place, better option for food. All must try food! Just follow the crowd!
  • A night market where their local would go cannot be wrong. The food stalls by the 2 side of the market leaving the middle section to other stalls. Well organised. Recommended.
  • This one of Kaohsiung 's most popular and famous night markets. From food, clothes to traditional Taiwanese games can be found here. Closed on Mon, Wed. And they have installed new roofs so you can go when it is raining too.

Kaohsiung caters to a range of budgets and styles in the accommodations it provides for its guests. To keep things simple and easy, take a look at the options close to Formosa Boulevard, the station where the two metro lines intersect. To the north lies the main train station, and the area has been dotted with high-rise hotels, both standard and luxurious. Backpacker-friendly hostels are never too far away in this district, while a number of traditional guesthouses can be found in the surrounding residential areas. Atmospheric, and usually budget-friendly, they provide a good option to for those wanting a side of the city other than the ultra-modern one of the central area.
