  • I went in Taiwan architects with Itō Toyoo group collaboration. Meh. Because the roof of the nearby stands and Tower view, not at all.

  • With the latest book magazines, the tools you want to find, the space is bright and comfortable, and the sky Garden is a good place to relax and look at the scenery, which is the best way to read.

  • A very beautiful library, not just a library. You can also go up to the top of the Kaohsiung scenery to see the Kaohsiung Pavilion, the Grand Tower of China, the dream generation, the 85 floor

  • The library is one of the first architectural centerpieces in the 新灣區 New Bay Area to have reached completion. It is enjoyable to visit from that standpoint alone. If you are a local looking to actually use it, management is still not quite up up to par. Many foreign books can not be borrowed, the library is often invaded by students who use it as a lounge all day long and often leave their belongings to claim tables hours at a time even when they aren't around. I am leaving five stars because compared to what Kaohsiung had before this library opened, there aren't enough stars to thank the city for building this. It is a world class library, that hopefully one day can be managed as such. Recommendations for staff: Strict seating use enforcement, children's activities and lessons, allowing more books to actually be borrowed, public musical instrument (a piano?), Q&A counter for those who need assistance, etc.
  • Modern library? 1 seat out of 20 with plugs, they even forgot to put some in designated spaces. People are seating on the floor due to the lack of seats. Unfriendly staff... Good looking but that's all.
  • Amazing library. It is a brand new library in Kaohsiung. The architecture is quite nice too with a good view all around. You must visit if your just staying here for a day.
  • Another great example of Kaohsiung's contemporary architecture. For architecture lovers a must-see place. Nice view from top roof.
  • The children's library is especially nice. Books in many languages and a cushioned shoes off area to lay down and read. Not too crowded during the day on weekdays.

Where to stay in Kaohsiung

Kaohsiung caters to a range of budgets and styles in the accommodations it provides for its guests. To keep things simple and easy, take a look at the options close to Formosa Boulevard, the station where the two metro lines intersect. To the north lies the main train station, and the area has been dotted with high-rise hotels, both standard and luxurious. Backpacker-friendly hostels are never too far away in this district, while a number of traditional guesthouses can be found in the surrounding residential areas. Atmospheric, and usually budget-friendly, they provide a good option to for those wanting a side of the city other than the ultra-modern one of the central area.
