Caishan Natural Park, Kaohsiung

4.7
#4 of 10 in Nature in Kaohsiung
Go jogging or hiking among families of cheeky monkeys at Caishan Natural Park. Some call this spot the "monkey mountain" because of the big population of monkeys that roam the forest. As you explore the park, you'll almost certainly come across some of the playful primates, but approach them carefully, as they tend to snatch valuable objects from careless hikers. Other than looking out for animals, you can admire the luscious plants and trees found in this park, refreshing yourself with a drink from the many stalls along the path. After successfully climbing, enjoy the view of the city from the top of the mountain. • Chaishan is very comfortable and can climb the mountain when playing with monkeys, do not put the bag on the side may be taken away, you do not necessarily check the back. Don't show the food, it will be taken away.

  • I went in the winter (January), but as was temperature is 26 degrees, is hot. It is recommended to prepare a cool winter clothing. Summer becomes a very harsh environment, so go prepared. That I don't know the road there are signs here and there, but the information is pointing a little different from the expected route. Should the subject enters the root path is rather steep and craggy, always walking shoes. In the mountains came across a stray dog and snow monkey. Never pop up and scary, chased. However, I think illusion easily if you are not sure. I think in terms of nature with the squirrels and birds and is a good spot.
