Landmark Tourist Spot
Discover traditional Taiwanese wooden architecture at Neiwan Old Street. Walk across the suspension bridge into the street itself and feel the atmosphere reminiscent of the past. Stroll along the streets and stop in one of the restaurants to try ginger lily-flavored glutinous rice, Hakka tea, Hakka rice cakes ("muachi"), and many other dishes. Pay a visit to the old cinema--an antique building converted to a restaurant where you can watch old movies while having your meal. Buy handmade souvenirs in quaint shops or from vendors working along the street. To visit Neiwan Old Street and other attractions in Hsinchu County, use our Hsinchu County travel itinerary planner.

  • Hsinchu than about 1 hour by train. And high iron station branch to branch in the Middle, so on the way station only because destination in mind. I just got the end station is the town centre. Small town so 1 hour even if we fully. I hope so many Hakka restaurant while walking. Are dotted with hot springs near the low number of bus transportation or car rental, bike rental.

  • Old Street di Taiwan memang kurang lebih hampir sama, tetapi rasanya tetap ada perbedaan antara satu dengan yang lain.Ke Old Street Neiwan ini cukup mengesankan karena ciri khas pedesaan terasa kental...  more »
  • Why not view point, mainly just eat it. And train schedules rarely, usually takes half a day to go a trip. You can go to 嘗 嘗 other wild ginger flower places eat dumplings.

  • An old town that is a great place for food and shopping. The village has been transformed into a shopping area with many Taiwanese food and drinks try.
  • Touristic Spot - A bit like a night market, with lots of shops offering local souvenirs and packaged foods, as well as your typical street foods. Well preserved and not a bad place to bring the family on the weekend. Get there early (before noon) or else it gets crowded.
  • Place to buy tourist tat, and kids games. Located in the foot-hills; some nice scenery.
  • Interesting place to visit. Lots of local food.
  • Nice scenery around it, but the crowds and the plastic crap for sale degrade the experience. Good traditional food, but too much non-local junk sold alongside.
