  • A very small place, like the station it used to be - but worth spending some time and know more about the city and its not so long history as part of Japanese empire.

  • A small museum that is free entry. Just outside Xi Zi Wan train station. Shows artefacts of the railway station, and there are some trains outside the station to take photos. Love the open area...

  • This is the site of old Kaohsiung railway station. Unfortunately, the museum was closed for renovation, but there was a locomotive outside. This place is now used as a terminal of light rail.

  • Good place for weekend. Specially when you have family along. Also for tourist, connected by tram (light) rail station. Playing area for kids, kite flying. Exhibits old fashioned train engines. Also accessible are nearby places like shipping port museum.
  • Kaohsiung first train station during Japanese colonize this country. A lot of empty space I think this place is only good for physical activities like walking and jogging.
  • The museum descends from the Kaohsiung Harbor Train Station, built during the Japanese period. The station was then the first railway station in Kaohsiung with the original name of Takow Station (Japanese: 打狗停車場). In 2003, the station building was classified as historical building by the Kaohsiung City Government. On 9 November 2008, the last train was pulled out from the station at 5.30 p.m. Once the station was closed, the government took over the station building and land on the southern part of the station. On 24 October 2010, the government authorized the Railway Culture Society to enter the station for the opening of the Takao Railway Museum.
  • Located at C14 Hamasen station of the Light rail or Siziwan station by Kaohsiung MRT orange line. Note that the Museum will be closed for 5 months from Jan. 1, 2019.
  • This musuem is big and fills with great show elements
