  • I visited not understanding fully what this place was about, and I was first impressed by the size of this place. Then the main ground is well maintained and along the walls you could learn about the temple and the roots of it. In some of the smaller buildings you could watch videos about the temple. In main building its a temple and you could see lots of artifacts and the history behind the founder of this place, and all of this is quite impressive with wide range of exhibits. But the most memorable experience I had is the hospitality of the volunteer staff here. Upon learning that I was a cyclist cycling around Taiwan he showed me around the museum and offered to take a picture of me. Even if you're not a Buddhist this place is a must visit if you're in the area.
  • Absolutely blown away by this temple complex. The staff were all very helpful and explained things clearly in English for me. We ate at the buffet for 150 TWD and it was good. It was very hot, there are covered paths but still worth bringing an umbrella if you want to walk around. Highly recommend this place.
  • A popular attraction in Taiwan. A great place for Buddhists and tourists to visit, giant golden Buddha statue, pagodas, vegetarian restaurants and souvenirs shops. Convenient to access by public transport. No Entrance fee. We had spent more than 3 hours there to enjoy the beautiful and serene environment. Vegetarian food is tasty, price is reasonable. Dec 2018
  • Very beautiful scenery. It is a very nice monastery with a lot of things to see and experience. It is an excellent spot to experience this kind of culture. It is easy to access from the city.
  • A truly wonderful, unforgettable, peaceful experience at this majestic Buddhist monastery. This gigantic complex includes impressive big size Buddha statues, pagodas, museums, auditoriums, vegetarian dining halls, gardens and much more. A must visit landmark in Kaoshiung. Free entrance! Convenient, cheap public bus frequently travel between the monastery and the city. Best to reserve a full day to enjoy this magnificent, spiritual place.
