Zoo / Aquarium
An oasis of greenery on a wooded hill east of the city's downtown area, Zoo Zürich shelters over 2,000 animals of about 250 different species. In addition to a large aquarium and open-air aviary, the park features special areas dedicated to African animals, as well as large enclosures for red pandas, snow leopards, tigers, lions, and otters. A replica of a tropical rainforest, the zoo's top attraction, provides visitors with a hands-on learning experience about the natural environments of Madagascar. If you time things right, you may be able to catch the daily penguin parade. Check the website for special events and guided tour options. • We were a group of 8 people and are pretty disappointed with the offer of the buffets. Basically: The brunch is served in a Thailodge and expectations testifies to an exotic breakfast - as scrambled eggs, braid and fried rice and some a few more stuff is not enough. Even the cake was first served in the afternoon. Because comparatively to other break offers in the city of Zurich (in the same price range), the selection of the offer is very manageable. Amazed it took us also, that at least the breakfast, contained little Thai. Unfortunately, the fried rice was the worst, at least I've ever tasted. Also how everything was done, was unkind. Even if we had understanding, had to be cleared and newly raised the offer from morning to noon. 5 minutes before the change, some of us wanted to get even a glass of water after coffee. The Lady (Chef de buffet) said that it was already cleared away and 5 minutes there would be water again in bottles, if also charged. When she took our Verdutztheit, she turned around and with a handle the carafe was back. For part of the afternoon, the lust had passed us and so we broke out the Brunch and left the restaurant.

  • The Zoo in Zurich with the Masoala Hall or the elephant building is one of the most beautiful zoos in Europe. A must for every visitor to the city or any residents of the city.

  • The Zoo on the Zürichberg boasts advanced animal husbandry. Certainly, a highlight is the spacious elephant Park. Alone the Hall in wood construction is architecturally very succeeded. The various departments allow the raising of new generations of elephant inside and outside the Hall. Another notable focus is the Masoala rain forest with its unique flora and fauna. The Zoolino where can children fun and frolic is family-friendly. Many paths are suitable for strollers and wheelchairs. The land reserves, which are dedicated to such as the continent of Australia in the next year and by 2020 the LEWA Savannah are impressive. The future of this zoo seems backed up!

  • Wow having read reviews I got my hopes up visiting this Zoo and all I can say is those reviews were correct. Definitely one of the best Zoo in the world. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves wandering around this Zoo. All the habitats and surrounds are clean large and spacious. I was especially excited to see the Galapagos turtles and the babies that had hatched some months earlier. Even in drizzling rainy conditions we had a wonderful time.
  • Immer ein Erlebnis
  • I Love this Zoo. Its big and also cozy. The animals looks healthy and the park is very clean. Staff is politly and friendly. All in all a great Time to stay.
  • Fantastic Zooh with lot's of photo opportunities and very well suited to bring children along, We have a 3-year pass for the Family, this is superb, as we can go in and out even for a short visit.
  • It's quite expensive but worth the money. It's nice but I've been in better ones. Expensive parking!
