Visited new extension building for first time -awesome architecture. Renaissance exhibition very educational and well presented. Great place to spend a few hours.
We saw the special exhibit on the Renaissance in Europe which used items from the museum as well as borrowed artifacts. Descriptions were in German and English. Nice little cafe in the museum.
I'm a bit of a techie and my favourite exhibit was the Augmented a reality Map. This museum could be much better with a few easy improvements. - more helpful staff (I asked about the app available and was told to follow instructions to download. I wasn't told about what was within five the app or how I should use the app). - better layout (apart from a map in rooms telling you where you were, there was nothing to tell you the direction you should be going. As a result you end up missing some areas and have to go back over your route to check) - English translation missing from many exhibits (sorry, I know it's not the national language of Switzerland but if you want to attract international tourists it would certainly help to have English translations). - suggestion on how to use the app. (I didn't have time to go through the many options on the app until I was sitting my my plane home. Unfortunately I missed out on the multiple tour options. If these were explained better by staff or posters in reception then I could have used them better). I came here to pass time before going to catch my flight. I wish I could have made better use of my time here.
This is a wonderful museum with some terrific exhibitions. It's super convenient to get to, the staff are friendly, there is a small cafe to grab a coffee and a gifpeli.
The place is great. I would give it 5 stars but the sheer number of things that weren't in English made it hard to enjoy. I hope they improve on that in the future.
Great museum we enjoy it very much and we spend maybe 4 hours with childrens so, they interact in some places of the museum
Really inyeresint museum, slightly overpriced considering size, however the Swiss photo exhibition was fantastic!
