Seebad Enge, Zurich

4.6
#4 of 6 in Nature in Zurich
At Seebad Enge you can relax in saunas with a view of Lake Zurich--and then take a dive into its icy water. This popular beach features two floating islands that provide some extra space and a large fountain offshore. The bathing area is easily accessible, clean, and reasonably spacious. In addition to the saunas, onsite amenities include a mini restaurant (which turns into a bar in the evening), quiet rooms for sleeping, and a bonfire on the terrace, where you can sip water with lemon, comfortably wrapped in a warm blanket. The view from the inside of the sauna is spectacular panoramic. Outside, you can jump in the lake directly from the sauna. The friendly ducks are a pleasure to watch and listen.  more »

Though it does get packed on weekends and after work, badi enge is perfect for a midweek chiller. Seems to get much breezier than badi utoquai, the beer needs to be ice cold instead of luke warm (minu...  more »

A place of relaxation and light tusovochki)) For girls features a private beach, if so you can call (from boards mounted Pier, where all Tan, Lake outside and inside-petty) casbar-valjaeshsja naked and nobody cares-all the same)) or you can choose a place where there is no sex separation. Here the whole life and boils))) watch as local youth goofing with friends, read or simply enjoying the beautiful views of the Lake, sipping kotelchik. By the way, delicious cuisine. Fed)) Similarly mounted inside a shallow pool. Cool staff)) without much knowledge of the language, I explained on your toes, cute smile, and later became friends))) so come all in Seebad)))

  • Good place for a quick swim in the lake. Nice views of the surrounding city. Foods and drink pretty ok.
  • The food and drinks are great ! My favourite thing about badi Enge: the concerts !
  • Can be a bit busy and pricy, but a very nice place to spend the evening and leave feeling relaxed and refreshed.
  • Really cool bar combined with lake bath
  • Great view, especially at sunset. Love the atmosphere and cheap drinks.

Where to stay in Zurich

As the financial hub of the country, it shouldn't come as a surprise that staying in Zurich usually comes at a price. The city puts emphasis on its glamorous four- and five-star hotels and international chains that appeal to traveling professionals. There a handful of hostels and guesthouses for the budget-conscious traveler. When staying in Zurich, you'll find that the majority of the accommodation offerings are in close proximity to the city core, either on the left or right bank. The left bank is the glitzier of the two, with its grand restaurants, shops, and proximity to the banks and train station. The right side, as home to the Old Town, charms with its historical atmosphere. Here you'll find independently owned boutique hotels and some mid-range options. The city also sports several hotels geared toward wellness, with spas and saunas. These tend to be pricey too, but you're guaranteed a truly relaxing retreat.
