#72 of 276 in Things to do in Zurich
The Prime Tower, also named "Maag-Tower" in an earlier stage of planning, is a skyscraper in Zurich, Switzerland. At a height of 126m, it was the highest skyscraper in Switzerland from 2011 until 2015, when the Roche Tower in Basel (standing at 178m) was finished. The building is located near the Hardbrücke railway station. The tower replaces an industrial facility that has been demolished. According to its developers, the tower's construction, which took 15 years to plan and execute, was a financial success, with its valuation based on lease rates exceeding the construction cost by CHF 110 million. The tower and its two companion buildings, Cubus and Diagonal, are used primarily as office buildings. As of its opening in December 2011, the tower hosts the "Clouds" restaurant on its top floor, a conference center, the Hotel Rivington & Sons on the ground floor, as well as the offices of Deutsche Bank Schweiz, Homburger AG, Swiss & Global Asset Management AG, Transammonia, Korn/Ferry International, Citibank Switzerland, Infosys, Repower AG, Ernst & Young, Zürcher Kantonalbank and consulting companies.

  • A landmark of the city of Zurich until 2015 was Prime tower with 126 m the highest building of in Switzerland, until he was overtaken then before end of the year from the Roche Tower in Basel with 178 m. Now, you need to be but not sad, it's also a great building. The location is ideal-traffic. The car is the Prime Tower parking garage or the car park Pfingstweid available, but much more convenient to get to the Prime tower with the S-Bahn (train station Hardbrücke with 8 lines) or with the bus connection (6 lines). The Prime Tower is then no 100 m to go. The main entrance of Prime Tower is used for access to the Office floors. Access to the "clouds" is on the back of the tower. Kitchen restaurant and clouds Bistro/bar, smokers lounge the panorama is located on the 35th floor. From here, you can admire the view in the depth and the width of the city and enjoy. Of course there are here to drink or to eat a little something.

  • Skycraper feeling district just outside of Zurich S-Bahn Hardbrücke - formerly some down come, which now is completely new in the modern splendor of window facades. Suit who probably work in air-conditioned offices as well as other Schattensuchende, who use the green oasis between the Office buildings for chilling moments cavort on the square.

  • Modern, office building, which is the highest in the city. There is a restaurant on the top floor where you may have seen. Not we got to see him, I don't know if you have to eat to see from above. Surrounded by office area, shops...

Where to stay in Zurich

As the financial hub of the country, it shouldn't come as a surprise that staying in Zurich usually comes at a price. The city puts emphasis on its glamorous four- and five-star hotels and international chains that appeal to traveling professionals. There a handful of hostels and guesthouses for the budget-conscious traveler. When staying in Zurich, you'll find that the majority of the accommodation offerings are in close proximity to the city core, either on the left or right bank. The left bank is the glitzier of the two, with its grand restaurants, shops, and proximity to the banks and train station. The right side, as home to the Old Town, charms with its historical atmosphere. Here you'll find independently owned boutique hotels and some mid-range options. The city also sports several hotels geared toward wellness, with spas and saunas. These tend to be pricey too, but you're guaranteed a truly relaxing retreat.
