  • The staff were welcoming. Coffee and desserts were great. It is pricey like it's expected to be in Zurich. But I loved the ambience and for us it was a great experience, especially in the cold August ...  more »
  • We really like the staff here - very relaxed and kind - even though they are running up and down flights of stairs continously. The food is delicious and there are many things that you can take away i...  more »
  • The place is perhaps one of the city's most famous coffee, especially in the area of the old town. Looks like a pastry cured in Austrian style with thousands of different chocolates, baked goods, pastries and confections. I ordered one strüdel with vanilla ice cream and coffee. Unfortunately the strüdel was definitely not good quality, was dry and mostly didn't taste remotely comparable to that of the classic strüdel di mele, I don't know, there was like a spice that made it a little "salty", similar to the taste of Saffron. The coffee was good. The cost? 13.50 CHF. We would probably be back to try the famous hot chocolate, but for sweets is not worth it.

  • This place is really unique. If you are in Zurich and like coffee and cake then you must come here. Great neighbourhood to so afterwards there is plenty to do.
  • One of the best selection of sweets and cakes I've seen in the city. The mean is high, this place is top notch.
  • Romantic and cozy, a must visit spot for a traveler on a date. The coffee is as warm and full of flavor as the environment.
  • It is a totally different experience. The small entrance with a patio opens up to a patisserie and then to several rooms which are decorated with antique furnitures in different themes. Nice selectionnof eats and drinks that comes with lots of calories.
  • Got lovely cakes made with butter nice Quiche, ☕ & fresh tee, no tea bags on saturdays you can eat upstairs in the big cosy room with wall paintings the prices are a bit high, we had a nice waitress & the female boss is very nice n helpful she found a nice table for us!

Where to stay in Zurich

As the financial hub of the country, it shouldn't come as a surprise that staying in Zurich usually comes at a price. The city puts emphasis on its glamorous four- and five-star hotels and international chains that appeal to traveling professionals. There a handful of hostels and guesthouses for the budget-conscious traveler. When staying in Zurich, you'll find that the majority of the accommodation offerings are in close proximity to the city core, either on the left or right bank. The left bank is the glitzier of the two, with its grand restaurants, shops, and proximity to the banks and train station. The right side, as home to the Old Town, charms with its historical atmosphere. Here you'll find independently owned boutique hotels and some mid-range options. The city also sports several hotels geared toward wellness, with spas and saunas. These tend to be pricey too, but you're guaranteed a truly relaxing retreat.
