Really fascinating bar at first floor and attractive shop at the entrance. A must for art lovers. A place where art is in every object.
Such a peculiar café! It's very cool and original. The atmosphere is magic. Really nice concept, easy and laid back with no frills.
You've gotta see where dada started and the space is great, but yes truly some of the worst service in Zürich you'd think you were in the first district of Vienna. But that's just part of it and if you persist you're family in no time.
While of great significance to the cultural heritage of Zürich, this place could do with some better service. Once, I held an event there and the guy behind the bar interrupted the twenty people we were and told us that he would close the restaurant. It was about 4pm at that point. Other times, the coffee machine did not work and no attempts at fixing were made. It's worth checking out for its historical appeal, but not for its qualities as a restaurant or event venue.
Our groups of four arrived on Sunday at about 14:50, so both exposition and cafeteria should have been opened. Unfortunately, the exposition was closed, and in the main cafeteria hall all chairs were still on the tables. Another small room was available, but the staff turned around and walked away while me saying the first words of ordering a cup of coffee. Maybe they just service true artists or at least art academy students and I do no not look similar enough, but in this case they should not post misleading information on the web that there is a public cafeteria and exposition here.
Very nice atmosphere and cool decorations.
