Matterhorn Glacier Paradise reviews
It was one of the best experiences ever, we booked the tickets one day before and we took the early train, the scenery and the ride was superb, don’t ever miss this when you visit Zermatt.

MUST do this if you are lucky enough to make it to Zermatt. We went up to the glacier palace and we’re not disappointed. Bring appropriate cold weather clothing/layers and comfortable shoes.

Europe's highest mountain station. The views at the observation deck were beautiful. Also on the way up and down, you get a full view of the massive Matterhorn. There are also several activities you can do at the top, such as visiting the Glacier Palace and chilling at the Cinema Lounge. After all the fun, you can eat at the restaurant, which serves pretty decent food.
This is a must see for first time visitors. On top of the fantastic views, they have an ice sculpture museum. Definitely go as early as you can. When we arrived around 830 ish there were very few people. However by 11 or so, it was really crowded and there were lines at the elevator to the viewpoint.
An amazing feat of engineering. A restaurant, lifts and tunnels into a glacier!! The place is amazing. Only downside is having to pay to use the WC and that the main walkways reek of concrete (which will pass)
It is definitely a worth visiting. And we got discount with the Swiss travel pass. The transportation is so seamless and easy to navigate around. If you love to ski or even not you may book for a package and have fun! I personally would recommend this place. Just so awesome 😎
Fantastic! We’d give the experience 10 stars if we could! Hubby says he liked it better than Jungfraujoch which is saying something. We purchased our tickets this morning at the bottom with no issue. Waited in line maybe 5 minutes and then caught a car up and had it all to ourselves. The cable car up was just wow. We’ve ridden them all over Switzerland this summer and we live in Colorado so ride them frequently to ski but this was just…. The engineering it took and the forward thinking. And they just keep going! The new one to Italy should be incredible as well! My only complaint is one bathroom at the top and you have to pay! That is absolutely ridiculous and I think a very poor showing of humanity. It reminded us of American greed. We saw people just going in the out door so to speak so we weren’t the only ones to think it rude and ridiculous. It put a damper on the day for a minute. No other toilets on the entire way up are pay. That we saw anyway. Other than that, very cool experience. Seeing people skiing in the middle of July was fun. The Glacier Palace was so fun! So cold too! Coldest part of the day for sure but definitely worth it! Then we chose to get off at Trockener Steg for a refresher. Awesome views and comfy chairs and friendly people.
