I like the restaurant and its adjacent kids’ play area. The food is made with consciously produced ingredients which is a great plus when taking our children out for a meal as we want to make sure... more »

Not a bad place to visit. Perhaps too much reading is required at times and to be honest I lost a bit of interest in reading everything towards the end. Also some if the interactive displays were not.... more »
Very interesting, very hot!! Great little cafe in the grounds.
I learnt today that an interactive museum doesn't necessarily mean interesting. The first exhibit was nicely done with huge end to end interactive wall screens on all 4 sides explaining about the origin of various foodstuffs. The children spent some time here. After that, it went kind of downhill for all of us. The museum is huge and has a good outlay but the slides and exhibits are packed with information about origin, discoveries, scientists, scientific methods etc. None of these actually speak to children, it was even too much for us. We were exhausted reading stuff and I lost my interest in less than an hour. The top floor has interactive games for the children, especially one where there is digestive track projected on the floor and the children complete the whole journey of food from the mouth to the rectum. We couldn't wait to get out. Maybe we were exhausted after the whole day at Chaplin's World (absolutely wonderful) and the Fete Parade happening that day, but it failed to live up to our expectations. It's not too expensive by Swiss standards, but don't go thinking it will be a fun trip for the kids.
Interesting museum. Videos on meat production could be tough to watch. The location is 5 stars.
Always nice to stop by. Good fun for kids. Decent food. The buffet is a bit disorganized. Often you are stuck in a line simply because there is no way out the way tables and chairs are arranged. And then after the visit you can take time to enjoy the lake.
Plenty to see in this modern museum/exhibition. We were in there for a couple of hours and had to leave quickly to catch a return ferry, without seeing all there was. It also meant we missed the café, which from the way in looked well worth a visit. There's a locker for bags, 2CHF returnable
