  • The Säntis is probably my favorite mountain: A such views of the mountains and the plateau there is anywhere else. Also the special trips are recommended, if you can take the gondola through the night. A visit is a must if you're in the area. And anyway, this mountain is worth any trip.

  • We took the gondola on the Chäserrugg, wandered on the Schwägalp and gondola continue on the Säntis. Breathtaking views of the many peaks all around made the day a unique experience. On the terrace, we enjoyed the peace and quiet, anxiously watched the many hungry Jackdaw and the mystical mood this late afternoon.

  • Rarely a view of madness seen: 6 countries and countless peaks over. The Säntis is a must for all in Zurich, St. Gallen or are on Lake Constance. And since there is now also a great hotel on the Schwägalp, even a journey of worthwhile away. The gondola floats effortlessly from Schwägalp to the Säntis on 2502 metres above sea level. Below you can see a large park p fields, which indicate that here there is space for many, many visitors. The facility is very modern, tickets there at the desk and the electronic access system always shows how many seats in the gondola are free. And of course the gondolas at rush drive just seamlessly, so that you don't have to wait. Once at the top, expect one several terraces, which are in part even of covered stairs. It has plenty of space for photos. And can by the way the Alpine Chough enjoy playing with the thermals and make wonderful photo motifs. We ate breakfast in the panoramic restaurant, the self service buffet is really recommended, the service very friendly. The local reference is important to me, and so was it glad that you could hear for example Appenzell jokes and stories in terms of visitors and gets even a little insight into the local music, if you want it. Lifts make it easier for everyone to move around up there, clean toilet facilities are also there.
