  • Tarasp Castle perched like an impregnable fortress of the town Scuol-Tarasp (terminus of the Rhaetian Railways). To see very impressive from a distance and an important part of the history of this mountain area.

  • This castle, which is visible from any point of the city, almost ten centuries. At the beginning of the last century the castle became the owning industrialist from Dresden Karl August Ligner. Under his order were carried out restoration work. In the former Armory was installed. In the Park planted thousands of new trees and shrubs. During the tour, you can explore the living rooms with wood-panelled walls and ceiling decorating, as well as a fine collection of furniture. A visit to the Castle costs 12 francs. The castle is open from mid-May to mid-October.

  • Good lead times, accomplished leaders. Exciting story about the changing owners. High quality antiques, and door locks. Excellent views from the battlements of the whole lower Engadine.

  • Did a guided tour, well done by the manager himself! Was worth it, thanks a lot. A 100 year old interior in an 1000 years old castle! Very, very nice! Good luck, hope it will remain like this for a long time!
  • Great Castle Tour. Tour Guide provided excellent historical tour in 4 languages.
  • Beautiful location and wonderful surroundings. Certainly worth a visit if you're in the area.

  • Tarasp Castle is a gem in the Lower Engadine. An insider's tip is there not easily accessible, and little visited. You drive direction Tarasp from Scuol (Shule) over the bridge and parking just in front of the Castle. From here, it's a half-hour walk, which rewarded with tremendous views.
