  • Once a report about my hometown: disturbing Besterhaltene and closed old town without significant "building sins" of the 20th century A colorful mix of very old timber-framed houses even so-called planks stand constructions, then newer powerful townhouses. At the Town Hall Square, beautifully painted houses: 2 x Renaissance (wine bar to the Red oxen, the White Eagle northeast); the remaining paintings developed around 1900, where proud owners tried to outdo each other with wonderful paintings on their façades (you are looking for E.g. the Diogenes in the barrel which wants the visitor may step out of the light of the Sun). The facade of clamps-Ursli painter Cariget on the rest. Eagle to admire. Visit the living museum "lindwurm", Monastery St. Georgen (completely preserved small monastery on the Rhine), as well as the Castle Hohenklingen (nice walk through the vineyards: gastronomy!). Cruise the Rhine down gorgeous, up to Lake Constance. Schöner

  • Very small, had called city look good, be regulated is impressed on the great wall. There are many medieval town with the town, this town was in the Middle Ages only, not in the book world is like.

  • Almost unknown, Stein am Rhein is perhaps one of the best preserved medieval towns of Switzerland; beautiful homes because besides the fact that they are highly decorated facades, each House is treated in detail. Recommended visit is during Christmas time in spring/summer.

  • Good place. It's easy to find, on the suburbs of it's town. The hostel seems to be recently reformed; the facilities were ok.
  • Nachtruhe wurde nicht eingehalten. Essen war OK. Waschräume waren weit entfernt (auf dem Flur).
  • War ok
  • Not enough... We were received very unfriendly and were not welcomed. The rooms were too small and the rooms were badly divided and still this unhygienic. Verhältnissmässig are very high prices. The breakfast is too early and it has little choice. The dinner is too expensive per night. Youth-unfriendly! Suitable for families with small children!

  • Unfriendly hostel operator. We had booked for two nights, but only one remained. We felt from the very beginning unwelcome, were classified from A to Z. grimy impression (bathroom, room). Loud street right next door. Stein am Rhein is a wonderful place, you can safely save youth hostel.
