  • St Moritz goers aren't going to see the paintings of Segantini because engaged on the slopes or in mundane amenities .... but they hurt. Because the Museum is small but very well cared for, almost an artwork in itself, with the project for the Engadine Pavilion at the universal exhibition designed by Segantini and never built, retains a number of masterpieces, including the justly famous alpine triptych. Seated comfortably in front of three large paintings, you can enjoy the extraordinary luminosity, the extreme realism of the details-you can reconstruct exactly where the painter had placed his easel-and almost mystical pantheistic and spirit that animates them. Segantini loved intensely mountain and nature; but he knew the extreme hardness and life recounted the cycle inevitable: birth, work, love and death. He passed away a little over forty years. Not to be missed

  • This the number of works that are on display in this museum-wedding favor. Beautiful and special the form outside (the Museum was installed on the project that Segantini had conceived for the Italian Pavilion at the World Expo in Paris in 1900, which did not attend), the two small rooms on the first floor exhibit works of Segantini, including some known to most people, but the really important room is upstairs, in a circular shape. Here is the triptych of life, of nature and death. works by imposing size and a blight. It is not surprising that Segantini had dubbed the painter of light.
