  • Piz Bernina/Piz Palü end of August we went to a written reservation confirmation for the tour to Pontresina. According to the tour description and conditions min. 2 guests satisfied we were for the tour required what. Three days before the planned date of the tour we have become twice personally representations in the Office to check us on the planning and execution of the tour as booked. Was that there probably would be no mountain guide and a third person/guest would be necessary communicated to us. A final decision should go to two days in advance until 21: 00 - but we were informed only a day before the scheduled tour in the morning about the cancellation on the part of the mountaineering school. At our expense until then we stayed where of course itself - we gecancelled had the tour would have provided us 80 CHF P.p.. charge! Total impertinence and definitely no recommendation. P.S. by talking with other people on the spot we learned that short-term cancellations are probably common practice... :-(

  • We find the activity of the walk in the snow under a full moon on the page of the hotel Muottas Muragl, but organised by staff of the Bergsteigerschule in Pontresina which is close to the hotel to carry it out. Excellent experience, excellent predisposition of guides and a hot cup in the middle of the mountain to recover the body temperature. Highly recommended.

  • -The only downside is the price: the guided walking tour costs CHF 60 per person and you should also be about CHF 25 pay for the cable car to top up on the Diavolezza. To get back to the car, you pay CHF 5.60 for a train ticket. = > Total: CHF 90.60! That's a lot, but it's worth it: such a thing do you do maybe once in your life! + Very beautiful, impressive views! + A lot of variety in terms of nature and walking yourself! + The ascending and descending was sometimes quite a challenge, but certainly to do with sturdy walking shoes (above the ankles). Also a warm sweater came in handy. + Lunch break held on a place with beautiful view on the Valley! + For the smoothest piece we got crampons. + The guide had a lot of experience and has us very well accompanied, too much explanation and our beautiful natural phenomena (e.g. fissures in the ice and very deep, holes). He spoke perfect German and good English. + Our group consisted of three adults and two children (13 and 10 years). Everyone has there unscathed! + The trip lasted a total of about 5 and a half hours (including 30 ' lunch break and some short breaks for explanation, drink, snack en/of photos). ! Tip: take a camera, but protect the good (especially if it's a big lens has), because you sometimes slips out through the loose pebbles. ! This walk without a guide is not recommended, unless you are a very experienced hiker.
