Swissminiatur presents important Swiss buildings, monuments, and sites in miniature. Built in 1959, the mini open-air park sits on the shore of Lake Lugano in Switzerland's Italian-speaking region. Covering an area of 1.4 hectares (3.5 acres), over 120 models of Swiss sites are displayed at a scale of 1:25. The park features moving attractions, including a 3,560 m (11,680 ft) model railway with 18 miniature trains, several cable cars ascending mountains, boats on lakes, and moving cars on highways. The miniature buildings are interspersed throughout a green park that features 1,500 different species of plants and flowers. Put Swissminiatur into our Melide itinerary builder and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

The place is very nice to go with children, my kids just loved it. We spent there more than one hour. I thing that it is very interesting.
وهنالك فعاليات للاولاد مثل أخذ القطار بلغة داخل ال... read more »This place is very nice for families in particular to spend beautiful time with children and identify the most important cities in Switzerland and take beautiful pictures of the boys, like a city reminiscent of dwarfs. There are activities for children, such as taking the train in a language within the place and there are games with boats and pay extra. Also out of place there is children's play yard and an open Stadium in addition to the park with a beautiful Fountain. And very nice sitting by the Lake and watch the Lake on one side and Switzerland Italy. Preferred attention to prices after 6 of my favorite eating somewhere else or bring a lunch box and ate ice cream and the likeshow original
Et malgré effectivement le côté un peu vieillot de certaines maquettes, j'ai trouvé la visite extrêmement intéressante, ludique et réaliste. Buildings that I knew, especially the French-speaking Switzerland, have blown away me, and the staging of some places, like Zurich Airport (Yes, you should change the airplanes that are certainly from another time...) or the Gotthard Highway driven small cars that need to please the little ones and their parents. So yes for an updating of the sites, but for the rest, keep! I think the visible models workshop during the visit, this should be ongoing. The Cathedral of Lausanne is as true, amazing! I was surprised to be able to pass under the Dome of Milan... I didn't know that this last had been attached to the Switzerland, but this city is so beautiful, I agree! Come by boat from Lugano, with a daily ticket for a cruise on the Lake, we well could visit the Swissminiatur for 2 hours and take the boat to continue our cruise. Since the landing, 15 minute walk to the site, flat, along a pretty walk by the Lake, with many benches to sit and have a picnic, and also a beach if you want to dip! In any case, I buy!show original

Suisse miniature is a visit worthy if you have kids and needs to spend a couple of hours. The themed park with famous Suisse buildings, castles and trains are well kept and with many details. However the park hasn't evolved much over the years so if you've been there once, you've seen it all.
Absolutely loved seeing all the infamous Swiss castles and historical sites in miniature form. If you never get the chance to thoroughly explore Switzerland and what it has to offer, do yourself a favour and check out Swissminiatur. If you're going on a sunny day (which I recommend), be sure to bring sunscreen and loose clothing as this is an outdoor venue and you can spend quite a bit of time examining the models.
Don't have time to travel across Switzerland ? This place is for you : every important place of the country is represented here in miniature. Castle, trains, highway areas, mountains. The reproductions are incredible and really precise.
This place will thrill the kids for an hour or so. There are lots of models of various locations in Switzerland, a few fun fair type of rides, a reasonable cafeteria and a shop. There's also a kids playground across the road with a cafe. It's a good place for kids to stretch their legs before putting them back into the car.
Great place to spend an hour or so, we've really enjoyed it. Only a short trip from Lugano by boat, and the views are spectacular.
