  • from month to month, again and again, that of happiness to see the Barrys, whether they are adults or puppies three months; and now there's presentations to the family on the second floor space; the Museum is always a discovery renewed, because there is always something we missed. really, I would totally recommend this place

  • Very interesting Museum on the St. Bernard and the Hospice of the same name. An old captivating film, which shows the difficulty of the lives of religious at the time. Dogs are visible all the time and we were told the good attitude to have. There is a floor dedicated to children with games. At certain times we can see dogs work or fun. A nice moment to spend with family.

  • Very good tour, Museum super nice, friendly dogs, nice (we even have pet them!), the surprise comes from the 2nd floor, fully reserved for children 6-12 years old I would say. Thank you, we will be back!

  • I am so deeply dissapointed of this museum. My favourite breed of dogs is Saint Bernard, and I was really excited to go to a place totally dedicated to them. Thank God I did not pay anything because the ticket was included in my swiss travel pass, but it was a waste of time of effort to go to a place where all the dogs are put in boring rooms. You see the boredom in their eyes. And they have every half an hour to pet ONE dog. The poor dog looked drugged... and it didn't felt good to go and pet him when like 20 persons where doing it. I dont recommend this place at all. And I did not even pay.
  • We were a bit disappointed that there were no puppies at the centre when we visited. They had a big TV showing a low quality web cam image of a new litter of 9 puppies that will be at the centre from the end of September 2016. We got to meet some of the adult dogs which are impressive animals - at ~60-70kg, they are heavier than a typical adult woman. Upstairs there is a very thorough exhibition about the Grand St. Bernard pass. It treats every aspect of the history of the pass and the dogs. The layout is a bit confusing but there is no lack of information. Overall, it's a bit expensive (12SF) for what it is, but you are supporting the dogs.
  • Great place where you will be able to see these real typical swiss dogs. They look so fantastic.
  • A great little museum-well worth the stop on your way through the mountains! I absolutely loved it, the small museum was very interesting even if it is all in French (they offer English translations in a pamphlet that you return to the main desk when finished), very informative. Also being able to see the dogs and pet them!! Totally makes this one of my favorite things in Switzerland!
  • Lots of dogs and puppies. A great place to stay if you are interested in large dogs, especially Saint Bernards. A small museum in the upper floor - mainly photographs. Make sure you ask for a leaflet with translation in your own language (exhibition is entirely made in French).
