  • ... and then there is another way of living: simple, where time passes slowly and there's no rush, where people smiles and says hello on the street and in a wrinkled Italian asks if you need an indication, a photo and thanks you for coming over there where every house is decorated, painted and broadcasts outside the joy of those who live in a harmony of colours and patterns from because here you He still lives in the fairy tale, is the country of Heidi here and the only Queen's nature. The village is at a standstill at the end of 1800, there arrived at 2016 them, not crossing the road looking at facebook and don't know about the selfie, but at the end of the day they all meet in the wine bar or in front of the source and speak, laugh and drink together. And the roads are still softly floral flower beds and balconies with an intense scent of wood, that you seem to meet them around the corner Heidi and the old dell'Alpe, lenses and happy, in a country remained intact, narrated by an inhabitant and designed to perfection by a pencil of cartoon that created the sensitivity of us children of the years ' 80 that we walk today on the path leading to the grandfather's hut disbelief and moved. Thanks Switzerland for my trip in the fairy tale of the beautiful August 2016

  • This region is known not only in Switzerland but also in many other countries, thanks to writer Johanna Spyri. In these lands lived Heidi-the protagonist of the famous series of children's books. At the tourist office you can buy many different knickknacks related to Heidi. You can climb up the Hill to the village, which was renamed to Hajdidorf. Although no evidence actually links history writer Heidi with any home village no one old chalets still called home Heidi

  • It's a nice day out, but since Heidi is a fictional character, what you see it's a recreation of how people would live at that time, not really how Heidi's grandpa hut would be. If you do the whole trail, you'll see a nice scenery and the cute little town of Maiensfeld, but be careful with the part from Heidihoff to the Heidi fountain, the trail is not well marked and it goes right through the forest.
  • If you are a fan of Heidi, this olace must be on your wish list and willing to spend a few hours hiking up to the Heididorf for the overlook view of Maienfeld. Be careful at the last session of the Heididorf Trail when you are heading back to the station where you may lose your way due to the hidden track.
  • By itself it's not much, but during spring the area and set of buildings related to Heidi are fabulous in that it's just so pretty.
  • Beautiful and picturesque mountains similar to the places we see in story books
  • My fiancée's name is Heidi. Need I say more?
