  • The ride with the cable car to the Monte San Salvatore is one of the most the absolute experiences not to be missed. The view of the San Salvatore is phenomenal. High point would then still a hike (3 1/2 hours) via Carona, a romantic little village with narrow streets and picturesque restaurants to Alpe Vicania. From here, we recommend relegation over the more than 1000 steps with some fantastic views of the Lago of the Lugano to Morcote. It is advisable, good shoes, wear maybe even walking shoes and take the sticks. As a successful conclusion, the return recommends to Paradiso with the ship. Tip: at the valley station of the cable car in Paradiso is a car park with entry and exit barriers. Early release is advisable as places are limited. Be sure before beginning the ascent at the box office only CHF 4 per day pay - special price for cable car users. You will receive a token with which they can extend even after end of operation of the railway still at the Office. The excursion to the Monte San Salvatore should be missed definitely. Highly recommended.

  • It is great to go to the top of the mountain by the cable car. The last part has to be done by foot which is easy to hike. The view is stunning and breathtaking.
  • At a business dinner, I walked out with the cable car up to the top of the mountain from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view. at the top there is a small church within walking distance (if you want) and a small museum where there is enclosed the whole history of San Salvatore. The restaurant is really beautiful: well organized, simple dishes but "effective".
