Beautiful! For everyone despite downtown to the beloved (alas for us Italians ...) Lugano. 11 francs adults and children from 3 to 14 years 4 francs. Trampolines, Olympic-size swimming pool, children's pool, to MAK, for adults. Lake with beach. Changing rooms and showers are PERFECT!

Lido di Lugano is located a few hundred meters from the Center, is easily accessible by bus or car and overlooks the Lake. Has two convenient entrances, one on the viale Castagnola and one at the mouth of the river Cassarate, the entrance to the estuary is in front of the beautiful parco Ciani, Lugano's flagship. The main entrance leads to a large space devoted to self service restaurant very well stocked, and immediately faced after a few steps down a high space with tables and chairs with an island bar where by ice cream and slush up to the aperitif worthy of lounges in the Center, only that you're comfortably in costume! On the left a green space with tables for table tennis and a meadow while on the right there is a vast space with lawn and cabins, beach on the Lake with bathing area bounded by a floating line and two lifeguards only for the beach. The showers to freshen up are everywhere, and they are in a State of maintenance. There is a plunge pool with two diving boards and two platforms, practically an Olympic facility available, with other 2 lifeguards who control all the swimmers diving, both small and great, and they give the rounds on trampolines. A few metres from the swimming pool for divers there is a pool for children, low, descending with comfortable steps, and alongside Olympic 50 meters with 6 yet we find the lanes for swimming at the Center and 3 free lanes on the sides. I note that all pools have a bottom of stainless steel which makes them special in that the Sun reflects and you Tan even when swimming, two lifeguards. The pool has on the one hand the steps concrete amphitheatre to watch the races or sunbathing, with a shower providential right at the top, and on the other hand, a great lawn with grass treated daily and another small bar. For the youngest could not miss a shallow pool with jets and spaces around the Meadow for mothers or families with their pups. Personally it is the first time I see a lifeguard for the pool of small and this makes it excellent for me. Clean locker rooms as the Town Hall lawn and the bar, three men running around empty bins and constantly clean services that are always in order. Eleven francs entry because it is common, if it was private? It would cost more than double, the price is more than justified in my opinion. In Switzerland you pay more it is true, but it must also be said that the level is at the TOP. If there are swimmers know that there are lanes for swimming disciplined and finswimming. I recommend it to everyone.

Lido well-equipped, large green areas and dark areas, great for families with children, for them, wading pool with water games, a swimming pool for those who want to dive from various heights, an Olympic-size pool for long swims and a pool from 1.5 metres for the whole family. You won't want to miss the clean sandy beach. Possibility to rent umbrellas and deck chairs. Toilets, showers and changing rooms very clean. The only drawback, cost bar and restaurant with above average ... but we are in Lugano!

  • Fabulous! The entrance fee is reasonable provided you make good use of all the facilities and stay for the day (or at the very least, a morning or afternoon). We particularly liked swimming in the lake. A great, relaxing experience.
  • Crowded place with very beautiful view. Entry is quite expensive for a Lido...
  • not cheap (11CHF) but beautiful and clean city beach
  • It is the biggest lido in the city, however because of this the facilities are not the cleanest. There are many pools and the field is nice for sun bathing.
  • love the fact that they have a sandy beach!

Where to stay in Lugano

Picturesque Lugano is known for its deep blue bay and the palm tree-lined waterfront promenade--so it only makes sense to stay close to the heart of the city, the lake. Surrounding the bay are a number of mid-range to high-priced hotels and quaint bed and breakfasts. With such an emphasis on the lake, most of the high-rise hotels have arranged their rooms and balconies in such a way that everyone has a lake view. These waterfront hotels put Lugano a step above its neighboring contenders, outbidding them in style, natural beauty, and sophistication.
