  • Consists of several pavilions, a paved outdoor area free that it unites them, and with very good facilities, including a restaurant type self-service with very good quality food, although somewhat expensive. All it needed to take the day there. To the children you love. Entry costs approximately CHF 24 per adult, but there are discounts for family. Each Pavilion is dedicated to a type of transportation. One car (was closed when we went), another train, other vessels, other aviation and space. Also has a planetarium and simulators of flight, of driving of train, etc. You can see, hear, touch and hit a lot of means of transport. As I said, can have almost the whole day to tour the pavilions and simulations, and interactive games so you should keep it in mind if you have planned visit and know well the city of Lucerne on the same day. Highly recommended.

  • On our honeymoon, we were told this was a must-visit. We made the walk from Lucerne (in the rain!), and we had a great experience. The tickets were even free on this day because of an event that was slightly interfering with some of the exhibits. The different exhibits were REALLY cool and very interactive. I felt like you got to 'play' while learning about transport. It was clean and not too crowded. I think some of the displays may have been a little disorganized as far as timelines went, but, that may have been because we weren't able to see things in order because of the event. Overall, great trip!
  • It was good to see all the variety of vehicles they had. The issue I had was the cost was pretty high and a good portion of the interactive displays were out of order so it took away from the value. Otherwise a good way to spend a couple of hours.
  • One of the best Museums in the world. You can not only see and read but touch and try. Loads if stuff, not only cars and trains. Every couple weeks you see something new. New exhibits, New shows. Worth to visit, for the whole family but also just yourself
  • Great place to take kids. Lots to do, including many interactive exhibits. Ideal for small groups and great fun for all ages, but ideal for children between~3 to ~13 (after this is very dependant on child's interests of course)
  • The swiss museum of transport is the best museum in this category. There are different exhibitions (railway, road vehicles ships, planes, astronomics. I recommend you this museum, its interesting for every age. The only negative thing about this museum are the high prices. Children 6-16 years old 15.- and above 16 years 30.-
