Amazing place where one day is not enough. You can see everything connected with all kind of transport. There are so many different types of entertainment for children. Not to be missed.
Museu com um grande acervo de artigos relacionados à história do transporte na Suíça, desde trens, até aviões. Tem muita coisa interativa também, como um simulador de voos por exemplo. Não deixe de ir... more »Museum with a large collection of articles related to the history of transport in Switzerland, since trains, even airplanes. There's a lot of interactive too, like a Flight Simulator for example. Be sure to go on a part that has a number of vehicles that are chosen by the public and a machine picks up and brings close to tell the story of the chosen car, formula 1 car.View original
Took the bus to the museum, it stops just across the road. The entrance is brilliant with the giant tunnel boring machine to welcome you. Spent almost 3 hours here and only left because it was closing... more »
On our honeymoon, we were told this was a must-visit. We made the walk from Lucerne (in the rain!), and we had a great experience. The tickets were even free on this day because of an event that was slightly interfering with some of the exhibits. The different exhibits were REALLY cool and very interactive. I felt like you got to 'play' while learning about transport. It was clean and not too crowded. I think some of the displays may have been a little disorganized as far as timelines went, but, that may have been because we weren't able to see things in order because of the event. Overall, great trip!
It was good to see all the variety of vehicles they had. The issue I had was the cost was pretty high and a good portion of the interactive displays were out of order so it took away from the value. Otherwise a good way to spend a couple of hours.
One of the best Museums in the world. You can not only see and read but touch and try. Loads if stuff, not only cars and trains. Every couple weeks you see something new. New exhibits, New shows. Worth to visit, for the whole family but also just yourself
Great place to take kids. Lots to do, including many interactive exhibits. Ideal for small groups and great fun for all ages, but ideal for children between~3 to ~13 (after this is very dependant on child's interests of course)
The swiss museum of transport is the best museum in this category. There are different exhibitions (railway, road vehicles ships, planes, astronomics. I recommend you this museum, its interesting for every age. The only negative thing about this museum are the high prices. Children 6-16 years old 15.- and above 16 years 30.-
