  • Last year, my children ended up in a group with six other children and two snowboard instructors mentored them. The different skills were practiced depending on the skill level. It was already that you were once in the better group, but also that you couldn't do something so well and ended up in the weaker group. System was really good and they had really fun. This year, the course started extremely boring. They were divided into the most attendand-intensive course (the other courses all already had 4 participants!) and practiced 4 hours of swing/. curve (both are no more beginners) on a beginner's slope for the little ones. Unfortunately, this was so boring that my girls were just sitting in the snow waiting until the other two participants got a curve. Second day it went high on the Jochpass/Engstlen and there they could only repeat. You could not learn new things on this day, Gabriel made an extremely effort to live up to the different levels and so all got their money's worth and had a bit of fun. On the third day I showed Gabriel the Swiss School Snowboard booklet of the children what they already mastered and what they still lacked and so they were finally able to learn new things on the last day and had a lot of fun thanks to Gabriel. Of course, I tried to divide the children to a higher level on the very first day and I was assured that the other snowboard instructor's tally will look into their skills on the more difficult slope and will be divided depending on the way. None of them cared, as they already had 4 participants and the group of my children would have been too small! No sooner did you have your group together if they buzzed off. I found that experience very disappointing.

  • I hired a Specialised road bike for the St Moritz Triathlon and to ride in Switzerland in August 2018. The bike was top class / TOP of the range, current season and lovely to ride. The service was personal, professional and seamless. Tobias was super helpful when I was booking the bike from overseas and helped me work out some good rides locally to me in Switzerland. The shop is very well kitted out with some very neat kit for biking and boarding. I’d highly recommend board local bike local and will return again next year. Thanks again Tobias for all of your help!
  • Bike Local provided me with world class service and a world class product for my once in a life time experience of riding in the Alps. The accomodated my specific schedule and needs, gave me expert professional advice and shared their local knowledge and passion. I could not recommend them more highly to anybody wishing to see this area of Switzerlands hidden gem... its countryside and villages.
  • I rented a bike from Bikelocal for one day, and it was a great experience end to end. I emailed to reserve a bike, and the response was prompt and had all the information I needed. I showed up the day of the rental, and the bike was ready, including a seat bag with tube, levers, and multitool. They even put a Garmin mount on the bike so I could use my Edge. The bike itself felt smooth and handled great. All the staff were helpful, competent, and professional. My German is terrible, but their English is great, so there were no communication issues. I would definitely recommend getting a bike from this shop if you want to tour around near Luzern.

  • My prefered place to get Bikeparts. Competent and friendly.
