Staubbach Fall, Lauterbrunnen
(4.5/5 based on 360+ reviews on the web)
Rumored to have been the inspiration for Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's poem, "Song of the Spirits over the Waters," Staubbach Fall stands nearly 300 m (984 ft) tall. The second-highest waterfall in the country, it is known for the spray of water in every direction due to the winds in the area. Walk the path up to the waterfall and go behind it for a view of the entire valley through the falls. Information boards offer the historical and scientific background of the area. Be sure to wear appropriate gear, as mist from the fall spreads far, and watch your step on the slippery paths. • Staubbach falls (It) is one of the most famous landmarks of the Valley of Lauterbrunnen. This waterfall with a height of about 300 meters, is clearly visible even from the train station. In summer, you can climb inside a waterfall "-Cliff hacked Gallery (with gusts can get wet from spray). Watch the best waterfall in May-June, when it is the most affluent; in the winter months, the water flow is waning. Summary: a beautiful waterfall, a worthy visit.

  • Lauterbrunnen is situated in the Valley of the 72 waterfalls, but one is the image of the small village: the staubbach falls. By an overhanging rock wall water plummets almost 300 meters in depth, making the staubbach falls to one of the highest free-falling waterfalls in Europe and one extremely photogenic object, any time of the year. Walking on the main road through the village is the case in mind and always again extremely photogenic opportunities there. Who sight of such heart reverence and joy at the beauty goes on, which is really no more to help.
