Elegant Lausanne is home to many luxury hotels for those looking to indulge. There is also a great number of mid-range options, a happy compromise compared to some of the pricey four-star accommodation. You'll also find plenty of guesthouses and bed and breakfasts in the area, though they are slightly removed from the idyllic lakefront. Hostels in the city are few and far between, so come prepared with a flexible budget.

  • This is a great museum. Even if you hate visiting museums this is one where everyone enjoys the displays and is especially good for children as well. Has a nice shop as well but things cost a lot just like any other tourism attraction in Switzerland
  • Extensive history of the Olympic games. Interactive visit of the museum that promises that you will not get bored.
  • The museum ended up being much more interesting than I expected. Extensive exhibition about history and the present of the Olympic games, lots of artefacts, some interactive eshibits and several fun games for the visitors to play.
