First, Grindelwald
(4.7/5 based on 950+ reviews on the web)
Use First as a starting point for many scenic hikes and ski trails in the Swiss Alps. Sitting above the mountain village of Grindelwald, the summit is quickly reachable by gondola railway and provides panoramic views of the surrounding snow-covered peaks. From here you have access to over 60 km (37 mi) of ski slopes and about 40 km (25 mi) of marked footpaths. Have a bite to eat at the on-site restaurant or relax on the sun terrace with seats for up to 300 people. Instead of hiking or taking the railway back to Grindelwald, descend on the 800 m (2,624 ft) zipline, which races down the mountain at speeds exceeding 80 km/h (50 mph). Arrange your visit to First and discover more family-friendly attractions in Grindelwald using our Grindelwald trip generator.

  • On the aerial tramway from the first burn, go to the top. To change direction, but without a transfer can be reached. From the top, various hiking trails. For beginners, it is recommended/from Bachalpsee. Intermediate over there from grosescheideck, on the way in the abode of the Marmot watching binoculars recommended.

  • Normally I do not like mountain trains but the First is an exception. We were comfortable and the car was clean. The scenery up and down was breathtaking. Whitebeard83
  • in clear weather it is impossible to see natural beauty, there is everything for a relaxing holiday, mountains and river and Lake with unusually turquoise water. you can go skiing, see the beauty from the cabin ski lift or panoramic trains, skydive or just take a stroll outdoors.

  • A great view with some really nice attractions. The crew at place is really helpful, and the restaurant is not expensive as you might think. Along the mountain wall you get a nicely built pathway, though a bit scary, it has one of the most beautiful views in Switzerland. A must ride zip-line awaits you at the top, with some more attractions, such as cycling, riding a scooter, and even going by foot all the way down.
  • Amazing hiking, unreal cliff walk and there is a restaurant and gift shops at the top. Zip lining too!
  • new facilities, many activities with great view
  • Small selection of food at the self service and very expensive, but then you are paying for the great views.
  • Great accommodation and facilities
