  • Without a doubt the most breathtaking hike I have ever done. Too the gondola up and then did the first to bachalpsee hike, which was quite the tiring trek! We were rewarded with the most beautiful views!! Spent a few hours at the lake having a picnic, taking pictures and just taking it all in. Switzerland is such a gorgeous place! This was the most memorable stop on my trip so definitely make sure you go here! You will be blown away.
  • A long way to go, it's steep & slippery sometimes, so wear some appropriate shoes. The view is definitely worth it.
  • This is the most beautiful place I have ever visited. Worth every penny. We wanted to hike to Bachalpsee but couldn’t make it. It’s April and there’s still snow on the ground so climbing the strenuously steep hills in the snow was just too much. It definitely takes more than an hour one way when there’s snow on the ground. Make sure you have time for the hike and check the time the last cable car goes down. You need to be fit and wear good snow boots with traction. Lots of sunscreen too. Adi’s Skibar on hike to Bachalpsee has really good goulash soup. Cash only, Euro and franc accepted.
  • Spectacular. Not always easy to catch the mirror effect of the water, but when you do it's just breathtaking. A very well marked path takes you up there from the First station, so no chance of getting lost! It's a stunning shot that's well worth a visit, and supposedly the most beautiful lake in Switzerland, and you can see why. Watch out for the grumpy cows. They look gorgeous and are obviously very happy in the mountains, but they don't appreciate human company much, and even less if you try to get close to them or their calves!
  • BE CAUTIOUS!. Please, before getting there and spending your time, check weather conditions, because you will not see what you expect. This is really marvelous plce to visit. When I was getting there, I had to pay 65CHF for a mountain cabin to reach the place "First" (it's a name of a spot). Then there is a 40-60 minute walk to the lake. I came there in a rainy/foggy weather and I could not see all the beauty of this place. I am also wondering, why do services with mountain cabins take full price for that if they know, nothing special could be seen. I was a little bit upset, but overall it was fun and I am happy to hike in mountaing no matter the weather Pictures attached
