  • Wonderful Museum with exceptional pieces spread over three floors and a floor for the temporary exhibition a Pearl! The location is a small Japanese tea room with small cookies homemade, perfect to finish his visit! I loved

  • The people are friendly the exhibition was good. There is tea and cookies made by a very nice lady at the tea room in the basement. We can drink our tea surrounded by books. JF recommend you it. For children there are three kinds of books of games. There was a great Buddha in wood dating back to the 13th century. There is a room full of things in jade and another with Indian jewelry. But it is a shame we have not the right to take pictures.

  • Better go to the Museum of Ethnography of Geneva (MEG) which is new, big and FREE! It also has long opening hours. But forget this Foundation Baur which is small, posh and disappointing.. Entrance fee 10 CHF is expensive for the very little they show. And opening hours very reduced : only from 14 to 18:00. My god, this Baur Foundation is a wreck!! Forget it!
  • Their thematic temporary exhibitions are always fascinating, but for anyone interested in ancient Chinese jades and ceramics their permanent collection is a must see. Also very interesting is their collection of tsuba, netsuke and other traditional Japanese apparel.
  • Currently superb exhibition "Jewelry of Orients far away" a journey in time and space to meet three hundred gold jewelry by following the Seaway of the mythical Silk Road.

  • Exceptional collection. See and review because we discover whenever new products. Reasonable pay entry and closed Mondays.
