Uncover the sacred treasures of Les Amis De L Eglise Orthodoxe Russe, the city's Russian Orthodox Church. The ambitious building project was funded by the Russian Grand Duchess Anna Fyodorovna, who resided in Switzerland for many years. Since its completion in 1866 the building has served as an important spiritual landmark and community hub for the city's Russian population. Its classic Byzantine features, such as gold onion domes, differ distinctly from traditional Swiss churches. Go inside to discover brightly colored ceilings, elaborate icons, and heady incense, matching the grandeur of the building's imposing facade. Church services are open to all. To visit Les Amis De L Eglise Orthodoxe Russe on your holiday in Geneva, and find out what else Geneva has to offer, use our Geneva itinerary maker.

  • Because of work, everything is piled up. The building is beautiful, but it is better to wait until the end of this rehabilitation.

  • Of course, this is great! All the locals know this church. In the middle of Geneva suddenly find yourself at home. Cozy little church. I got there at the time of service and received a blessing from the priest. As immediately well for the soul!
