  • The Gorge is bounded by high walls and in some places it is very wide. Although I've certainly left open-mouthed, I recommend a visit if you are in the area ... is still very special!

  • What an impressive place! Over 300 steps down and then back up to see what the power of water can do. Totally worth a visit and very reasonably priced.  more »
  • I'm going through the Viamala 50 years several times a year, and often I authorize me the short detour from the E43 alias Highway A13 to the via Spluga through the narrow gorge of the Hinterrhein River behind Thusis on the way to the San Bernardino. There is a small parking lot, from where a path leads down to the oxbows and swirl pots of the river or of one from half a minute to the next bridge running to look in depth at the narrowest point. Here the river between up to 300 metres high cliffs to a few meters is compressed, and you can see only a dark, narrow band from deep below the water noise heard by the railing out. The history of this difficult bottleneck, now leads, the fourth generation of the road along which or at the is very interesting and provided the material for a novel and several feature films.

  • Beautiful place to stop if you are travelling through we were heading to Ascona and decided to stop on our way up over one of the beautiful mountains in Switzerland instead of travelling through them all. Make sure you have plenty of energy as there is plenty of stairs to go down and then you have to come back up but well worth the trip to the bottom. The waterfalls and are amazing and you can get right in and enjoy all the mountains from a different aspect, also make for some great photos.
  • great views!! short or long hikes and very friendly staff at the info-center
  • A nice place to stop if you're doing the grand tour or if you're just passing through.
  • Great Nature View And Beautiful Place To visit
  • Beautyful..
