Best known as the site of Sherlock Holmes and Professor Moriarty's final clash, Reichenbach Falls attracts fans of the Sherlock fiction series from all over the world. However, with a combined drop of 250 m (820 ft) and picturesque alpine setting, this spectacular series of waterfalls has a broad appeal. A scenic funicular ride makes the site easy to access, located just a short walk from the Reichenbachfall station. At their fullest, the waterfalls can produce a considerable spray, so be sure to wear shoes with good grip and bring a waterproof jacket. • I visited this yesterday. It is a must do in the Meirigen area. I'm also a Sherlock Holmes fan so seeing the falls where 'it' happened was exciting. We took the trolley up $7CHF for up only. $10 for a...  read more »
  • Would never be able to assume that I will stand at the Rejhenbahskogo waterfall, place legends for the entire world, where Conan Doyle so spectacularly "buries" the famous detective. But it was! with me! and it was great!

  • Breathtaking and wonderful. I can't think of other words to describe it. You start the tour on a cogwheel, it was a bit misty, which made it more magical, and when you reach the fall itself you can feel it on your skin. When you arrive at the end of the travel you can take a little hike to reach the top of the waterfall and take beautiful pictures of the surrounding scenery. One of the best images of Switzerland I had so far.
  • Excellent time. Most magical on a beautiful sunny day. Switzerland at its best
  • If you are a fan of Sherlock Holmes (or Moriarty) this is a must see. You can either hike to the overlook or take a tram for a few Euro.
  • Breathtaking falls and view. Of course don't forget to say good bye to sherlock
  • Beautiful waterfalls!
