  • Good and various snacks, fresh salads, appetizing prepared in retour ware. In addition to the offer of the self-service restaurant there are a few meters further in a tent also Tibetan meals, authentically prepared. You can also buy non-alcoholic drinks and all kinds of sweets, cakes and Glacés, etc.. Warm and beautiful days where barbecue specialities are offered. Prices for offering all this food and drinks are not be cheap, but within the framework of the normal rates of open-air restaurants. The seats and tables are placed under large umbrellas for summer and there's almost always a seat. For parking, be paid must, should especially on warm days, arrive before 10: 00, otherwise you can better go walking there should.

  • Free admission to swimming pool located right at the foot of the Swiss Parliament (you can get there by taking a small funicular) and along the river. Large spaces for sunbathing pools and bar restaurant, everything. The beautiful thing is that you can swim in the river and be carried away by the current.

  • Go to Freibad Marzili is one of the few free things you can do in Berne. In the Centre, just behind the Bunderhaus are these baths where you can enjoy a large green space 4 swimming pools with springboards, showers and changing rooms. The best and for my essential is to let yourself be carried away by the current of the River Aare. Or pull you by one of the bridges. A tradition typical of Berne

  • So cool. Free swimming pool in the middle of town. Can drift swim down the Aare River next to the pools too. Highly recommended
  • Best open air bath of the world! But beware of the restaurant: the food is bad and the people unfriendly. The boss is a really bad guy to order his staff to behave like this.
  • Aare schwimen, etwas das mann muss unbedingt tun in Sommer in Bern!
  • Best public swimming pool with all infrastructure needed. Great to go alongside Aare river upstream, jump from the wooden bridge Schoenaussteg, and float back to Marzili. Great for swimming training as well... And try aarebrot meal (schnitzel with bread) when hungry.
  • It's free and also a great place to deposit things when going swimming in the Aare
