  • My creative friends are all jealous. This building, the displays, documentation, exhibitions and grounds all honor the creativity of Jean Tinguely, his wife Niki de Saint Phalle and their friends who ...  more »
  • A guided tour through the museum is an excellent option to learn about the works - large and often bizar installations. The museum is modern and the guides are professional. Great for kids.  more »
  • Our friends who are originally from Basel recommended this museum. It is a bit off from the center but very easily reachable by bus. I did not know what to expect, not being familiar with the artist. ...  more »

  • If you know about a bit of Jean Tinguely, or even if you do not know about him at all, you will feel amazed when you see everything he created. Fact: one of his other water fountain is just outside Pompidou Center Paris. I didn't know it until I visited this museum. Such a small world!
  • Seeing so many of Tinguely's works in a single place (quite a few of them interactive as well) is a great experience. It did feel a bit lacking in the amount of works that were on display at the time I visited.
  • Funny! If you buy paper, you can draw pictures with machine. It was absurd but fun experience. The person who helped me from the side was very kind, so I felt good.
  • Beautiful building from Mario Botta and sometime surprising but never boring exhibitions. Take some time to go also through the park.
  • From the pictures it can looks like a museum with a funny moving machines, good for children. It's not! It's a contemporary art/perfomance museum. So take this into account before your visit.
