The area is vast and it is advisable to discover plenty of time get all the sights. Very interesting, we found the leadership (slightly more than 1, 5 hours) includes museum visit. The museums guide has it great on the issues and interests of the children. Of particular interest is of course the reconstructed Roman House and the Grand Theatre.show original

Unfortunately the restaurant is itself somewhat impersonal and more reminiscent of a Hall. But otherwise there does not want to take. Even late you will receive friendly.show original
Augusta Raurica is one of those rare, beautiful historic sites you visit once or twice in a lifetime! Stunningly well preserved structures & a HUGE abundance of silver treasure were uncovered on this hilltop site. Great museum where English speakers were well catered for which is an all to common a rarity in Switzerland. I found it to be hugely educational & also incredibly serene but I did visit in February when it's likely at its least busy. Well worth the visit if old stuff is your bag!
A great underrated place around Basel. Beautifully preserved and not too touristy. You can engross yourself and spend hours to go into historic times. Lovely place to go on a biking trip form Basel city.
Lovely place for a walk and some history
A very small museum and excavated sites are sparsely scattered.
