  • Anfrahrtsweg is well signposted and very much parking. well signposted exciting information get away with much. Picnic seats and seating available. small but nice mueseum. Admission price is okay. to really see everything, it is a day trip with pick nick. for children also very exciting arena in the forest with pick nick options. workshops are offered. courses, caution is partly for larger people available due to head, ceiling hang at something deep. It's worth the trip.

  • If you are in the area anyway, then worth a trip to the excavations in any case. The visit of the facilities is free of charge, only the Museum entrance fee. The Museum must be not seen but, is quite small and not very interesting especially for children.

  • Ask a plan at the Museum before start you, this will prevent you to forget a portion of ruins, which are very dispersed. Outside, walk more an hour if you want to see everything (do not miss the theater). The visit to the Museum is interesting, with the treasure Silver (+ 58 kg of various parts). And especially the reconstituted Roman villa.

  • This is such a peaceful place, love the walk, its very nicely maintained. Do not miss this attraction.
  • Augusta Raurica is one of those rare, beautiful historic sites you visit once or twice in a lifetime! Stunningly well preserved structures & a HUGE abundance of silver treasure were uncovered on this hilltop site. Great museum where English speakers were well catered for which is an all to common a rarity in Switzerland. I found it to be hugely educational & also incredibly serene but I did visit in February when it's likely at its least busy. Well worth the visit if old stuff is your bag!
  • A great underrated place around Basel. Beautifully preserved and not too touristy. You can engross yourself and spend hours to go into historic times. Lovely place to go on a biking trip form Basel city.
  • Very disappointing place. Almost nothing is left from these Roman Ruins, The amphitheater has been rebuilt mostly for concerts and it has lost all the sense of place after the restoration processes. I've visited other Roman ruins in Spain, Morocco, France, Italy and these are the worst I've ever been. Not worth the try at all!
  • What a humbling experience has been walking around this ruins!
