  • Unfortunately during our quick visit in Central Visby were closed for hours but you can anyway be admired in all their Majesty from the main square of Visby. summer is a busy and lively square filled with people who obviously take advantage of tourist season filling to capacity their tables. Of course sometimes not pleasant this mixture of tourist business, culture and ancient art but then you can't live by Sun. Coming back precisely to these I admired very much what remains of the structures and I look very different from other European Churches visited, perhaps are the materials, the stones used are not expert on this subject but I had this feeling. In any case the whole historic centre of Visby and the walls that surround are worth a visit if you are in Sweden. Ferries don't cost a lot and out of peak periods nor is it difficult to find the place, I found a place in the days of the full "exodus" of the Swedes.

  • We saw several church ruins in Visby, many in fact. This so we only in the evening when it was arranged dinner there. It was fantastic!

  • Unfortunately the main part was closed when we visited, but we could see enough from the glass fronted entrance way to appreciate its grandeur. It must be a magnificent concert venue.
