Where to stay in Visby

What Visby lacks in accommodations, it makes up for in charm with its medieval houses, cobblestone streets, and churches--not to mention the preserved medieval wall and abundance of roses. The moderate to upscale hotels in the city center tend to fill up quickly, so be sure to book in advance. There are also a handful of guesthouses and pensions, along with a very limited selection of hostels. If you're open to a bit of a drive, look to the south to the town of Burgsvik, a resort town with more accommodations.

  • Excellent food and cakes. Very close to the ferry terminal, making it a great place to hang out at if you're waiting for the boat to leave.

  • One of my best experience when it comes to food and have a good feeling. The food is absolutely incredible! Wonderful natural play place for kids, super friendly atmosphere, incredibly funny and good shop. It is as close to perfection as you can get. Absolutely love Live the Kings barns!
