Take a stroll through Botaniska Tradgarden, an oasis of greenery right on the coast of the Baltic Sea. Established more than 150 years ago, the garden displays a rich collection of plants from all over the world in tranquil surroundings in the historic part of the city. Admire the ancient trees, immerse yourself in the array of colorful blooming flowers, learn about the vegetables used in various cuisines, and soak in the scents of medicinal herbs and spices. The landscaped grounds are a perfect setting for taking a break from the urban bustle or a romantic getaway. While the general admission is free, consider booking a guided tour at an additional cost. Some parts of the garden can also be reserved for private events. Use our Visby tour planner to add Botaniska Tradgarden and other attractions to your Visby vacation plans.

I try to visit all Botanical Gardens when I come across them and this one is a favourite, non-regarding time of year.
This is a small but neat botanical garden just a stone's throw from central Visby. Perfect if you need a little quiet, or shade on sunny day.
The most beutyfull garden in the town Visby this place most all looking in and go around for the areso many of flowersand burshes and trees inor wonderful botaniska garden
One of the top botanical gardens of Sweden. Serene, generous, varied, lots of shadows a hot summer day, and sunny hideouts from the wind other days. Varied music performances throughout the summer.
Great that it exists! Perfect for quiet moments. I only wish it had more of a "secret graden feel", with overgrown spots and secluded areas. Best of the garden is the ruin S:t Olof.
