  • Don't miss taking a walk in the Botanical if you are in Visby! Stroll through the garden and then go off the wall along the water on the way back.

  • This botanical garden is small but well laid out and well located. Just within the city ancient wall overlooking the sea, the garden is well stocked and peaceful to spend a few hours roaming around. I...  more »
  • Botanical Gardens are normally not my thing, but they also serve as ' normal ' in Visby city park, in addition to the many theme gardens, then, is also a very spacious lawn, where you can picnic and if the locals hear you a weird language (on Gotland are I think 99% of the tourists Swedish or Finnish) are the people spontaneously proposals and ask what weird language we speak (I was there with my wife , so that was authentic Limburgs dialect!, the weird thing was: that they could translate just pieces without difficulty, so Gotlanders and Limburg citizens are ever once long ago from the same tree instances;-). Further, and special, almost anywhere in the gardens you have a view on the medieval walls, and pieces of the beautifully authentic town. Enjoy nature and history and socialize, enjoy this location! You can also the gardens from one of the towers of the ramparts climb and then have a more beautiful view of the gardens, the city, the Harbour and the Baltic Sea!
