  • A, to our nordic standards, large open interior with historically significant pieces. Some pre reformation decoration restored. Swedes with a historical interest should have it on their bucket list.
  • Västerås Cathedral is well worth a visit if you like churches. It is an impressive building for its time and recalls the Church's heyday

  • G0od experience seeing this building. Imposing and landmark of Vasteras. It is a short walk from every good place in vasteras

  • Spacious cathedral one of swedens best. Not altered in the 19th century as many other swedish cathedrals.
  • Dislike
  • Best Cathedral!

  • Right at the entrance is a statue of Bishop Johannes Rudbeckius. The sculpture was made by Carl Milles. If you look at the inscription on the Sun, we see that it says YHWH at the top (read from right to left). In many erroneous translations are the Lord instead of "Jehovah"
