  • What a gem!! We rode horses with sleigh, learned a lot about animals and the different environments they built up! We had coffee at their wonderful cozy café (good service!) and acted in the pottery shop. A lovely afternoon!

  • Nice destination during the autumn break. Vallby might none the less is best in summer and not at the beginning of the month of november. The man who produced the print shop printing and art told demonstrated with great dedication and in a good way. The kids even got to go after the horse in the trailer.

  • In Vallby open air museum so you can get a glimpse of the historic Västmanland and how we lived then. There is an antique shop and there are staff who are in character the whole time. There are animals around in the area which also represents Västmanlands farms. The restaurant serves refreshments and light dishes, and it is delicious. The building is from the site of Västerås City Hall stands today. Can absolutely recommend this for a day.

  • Great experience for the whole family. We did a guided tour with a group of seven. The guide told about the history as if it was today. Her knowledge, enthusiasm and sense of humour made it a wonderful and educative experience. Afterwards we sat in the garden for a lunch at the local restaurant, Wärdshuset Gaggeska Garden. Good food and great services with a smile. Whatever your age, if you are in a pram or wheelchair, with a group or family or just the two of you? Go and visit the Vallby Open Air Museum. You love it!
  • Great place to visit with kids. The restaurant has surprisingly good food and a place to play for kids.
  • Nice place to visit and have a look back to history. I loved the staff were dressed up in costumes and played their roles.
  • Such a beautiful place and easy to imagine what it was like back in the day.
  • Free to go and great fun for the kids
