  • Well worth a visit, the many old buildings take one on a journey into the past. Very informative.

  • A nice outdoors museum, filled with old buildings, animals, little shops, arts and crafts. A nice place to go with family or friends. You can even walk here along the river from the city centre.
  • If you don't know what you will find when you are in Västerås, then take a tour here. There is history, as well as animals, small shops and a lovely Café, which also has food. It organized many events ranging from flea market to the harvest festival and Christmas market

  • Great experience for the whole family. We did a guided tour with a group of seven. The guide told about the history as if it was today. Her knowledge, enthusiasm and sense of humour made it a wonderful and educative experience. Afterwards we sat in the garden for a lunch at the local restaurant, Wärdshuset Gaggeska Garden. Good food and great services with a smile. Whatever your age, if you are in a pram or wheelchair, with a group or family or just the two of you? Go and visit the Vallby Open Air Museum. You love it!
  • Great place to visit with kids. The restaurant has surprisingly good food and a place to play for kids.
  • Nice place to visit and have a look back to history. I loved the staff were dressed up in costumes and played their roles.
  • Such a beautiful place and easy to imagine what it was like back in the day.
  • Free to go and great fun for the kids
