  • Bildmuseet should be called the art museum of Umeå or Västerbotten, as it really would deserve a "bigger name" than it has now. I thought the Bildmuseet was going to be like a middle sized gallery, bu...  more »
  • Good coffee after walking tour at the Museum. Good selection even though we were late ... last opening hour of the day. In addition, the large group of about 10-12 people.

  • Was here this past summer, and writes review late; This museum got stuck in memory as a particularly great experience. Situated in a new exciting building with interesting architecture. The exhibition was about Charles o Ray Eames o world class; so thorough, rich, nicely exposed and documented. Could qualify at MoMA, Tate, Pompidou ... on the world museum. Deeply impressive, knowledgeable staff who gave many extra tips o insights. And here one can go in peace o ro, no crowds that are crowded. 5 points, no doubt

  • Cool building located right by the river. Come here for the nice view over the city (from the top floor), to grab some food or to take part of the world class exhibitions. I really recommend to ask the personell for a guided tour, they are very professional.
  • An exhibition center with stunning view over the river and surrounding area. The content is rich and beautiful. You can also bring back home some interesting souvenirs from ground floor shops.
  • The building and location, right by the river in a contemporary environment make it already worth with a visit. Staff seemed very well informed and were ready to answer my many questions kindly. The temporary exhibition on the Eames was fantastic. Walking distance from the centre.
  • Nice staff, incredibly nice building and usually a few intriguing exhibitions. Eames exhibition was great.
  • it always has something new and intresting! Has a very nice view on the third floor!
