  • One of the most beautiful and finest environments for since that loves the forest. You can hike for hours undisturbed and find peace. Close to metropolis and yet far from. Love this forest.

  • Multipurpose recreation area with nice hiking trails of varying difficulty levels. Among other things, a 5 kilometre barnvagsnsslinga and part of Sörmland led Cozy Eatery in fine old courtyard setting with animals as well as fine BBQ places

  • Tyresta offers great walking, with or without stroller. You can grill on many places, firewood is available but newsprint can be good to have with. Matches are a must to pack down. Untouched and magically beautiful!

  • Beautiful National Park so close to Stockholm. Good variety of easy family friendly walks, and more adventurous trails where hiking boots would save a lot of pain! Buses get you hear nicely from Slussen, with a stop at a mall on the way to grab snacks and supplies for a day or multi-day walk. Perfect for a day walk and a swim!
  • Beautiful place for walking, enjoying the nature and fresh air. If you like hiking in forests, it's a place for you. Beautiful site worth visiting more than once, in every season of the year.
  • One of the last natural forests in Northern European. This is a must visit while visiting Stockholm, 30 minutes by car from Stockholm Central station. The park has great biking paths. Go and enjoy an unspoiled forest.
  • NB: For the cyclists. You're no longer allowed to cycle in the park. Only walking, and electric wheelchairs. Besides that it is a beautiful location and I would definitely revisit. They are helpful and the information provided is clear.
  • This is a great place to visit if you like oudoors, or if you want to get a taste for what Sweden looks like outside the cities and towns. Here you can see the traditional old fences ("gärdesgård") and then take a hike from 3 kilomteters and up through really old, untouched forests. Some hikes are stroller friendly, others require more mobility. It's amazing that this exists so close to the capital of Sweden.
